Nature Care Autumn Course

The next programme starts in September and will run from 10am-3pm on the 3rd September, 17th September and 2nd October. You can choose to attend one or all of the sessions - the more you attend the better for your wellbeing.

Our Nature Care course will provide you with an opportunity to try different nature-based activities, simple mindfulness techniques, personal resilience skills and discover ways to help care for wildlife. The course is held in a relaxed and supportive environment.

It is important for our wellbeing that we are not always ‘doing’ in nature and we give ourselves time to ‘be’ in nature. Sessions will include simple nature-based therapeutic activities that help encourage us to tune into and notice nature more.

You will have the opportunity to use a range of practical skills in: hedgelaying, wildflower sowing, feeding the birds and caring for a mixture of habitats on the farm. We will also combine nature-based mindfulness, arts, campfire cooking, folklore and seasonal celebrations.

Interlinked with the nature based work that we will be doing, we will also be sharing a simple and effective framework to help build resilience and adaptability. For so many, when we face uncertainty, unexpected change and the inevitable challenges that life throws at us, we get stuck. This simple tool will run throughout the course and can be used in our everyday lives to improve wellbeing

Although most of the costs of the sessions are provided by Nottinghamshire County Council, we ask for a contribution of £10 towards for each session. However, we do not want this cost to be a barrier to you attending, so please do get in touch.
